Well, things have begun to speed up as we rush towards May 12 and our flight to Greece.
Julia has sprained her foot fighting ninjas at the KCAI, and it is a lovely swollen purple.
Our beloved cat Bebe is approaching her final days, causing concern and anguish for us both.
and the weather in Kansas City has finally caught up with the season, at least today, as the sun
has been shining and the birds have been singing and everywhere is green and beautiful.
As I will be performing my monthly army service this weekend, Julia will be flying to Michigan
to help her family get their summer cottage ready for the summer tourist season.
I think we're nearly ready, as long as Julia's foot heals up in time. She does seem to be
moving around a lot better, but her shoe selection has been quite limited due to the swelling.
I have been reading up on where to eat in all the various towns that we will be staying in.
The only one that really worries me is Athens itself, mainly because nearly all the turmoil that
you read about Greece these days is happening in it's capital. Luckily for us we will only be
there for 3 evenings and one full day, so hopefully we'll miss any unpleasantness.
If not, Julia's kung-fu should be enough to protect us from any harm.
that is, as long as she remembers to not lead with her purple foot.
