I stopped waiting for prices to drop and bit the bullet. we have enough Capital One points to pay for one full ticket, so when I saw the prices dip, I went ahead a bought them. Flying out of KC on May 8, arrive in Athens May 9 and fly to Crete for 5 days before flying back to Athens and driving through Northern Greece for a week and a 1/2 before driving back to Athens and flying home.
The shit gets real when you buy your non-refundable airplane tickets, thats for sure. the only problem was last time we flew United/Lufthansa, they changed our Lufthansa flights about 6 times before we left, and everytime they changed it we had to go back in and select our seats. That and they made JW check her back in Austria which really fucked us up not knowing if her bag would make it to Greece or not.
I'm very excited, so damn excited. Here's a picture of a bridge we'll see while exploring the wilds of Ipirus, the most NorthWestern and remote part of Greece.
