with the advent of a new job, and not being able to take all the vacation that I want, we will be limited to 16 days of travel next year, assuming that we'll even be able to travel. I had originally wanted to explore the northern Greek areas around Thessaloniki, and try to make it over to Lesvos, but it just doesn't seem possible with such a limited amount of time. I think we'd have to do that on just one trip in order to do it all justice, though our 20 year anniversary may include the area, that is 2023 and a very long way off.
Currently the plan is to go to Crete, oh course for 6 days, then ferry to Naxos for 3 and then Syros for 3, with an attempted day trip excursion to Tinos, if we can make it happen. from Syros we'll fly to Athens and get a car and spend 3 days in Navplion before returning to Athens and flying home.
I have a flight tracker right now looking at the middle of May, leaving on a Friday afternoon to squeeze in an extra day and returning on a Sunday. We'll see, fingers crossed.
