So Thursday morning I got up and got the coffees while JW was already finishing up her prep work on packing and cleaning. Since I had been up all night drinking, I was really feeling it.
Soon Laura was there to take us to the shiny new airport and away we went.
After a short flight to Chicago we had our most expensive meal of the trip for a hamburger and a salad, then off to Vienna, 8.5 hours, and it was fine I suppose.
From Vienna it was a short 2 hours to Athens, and the wonderful airport there where we had a lovely spinach pie and then flew on to Thessaloniki.
We wandered around a bit and took a couple pictures and then had a lovely meal at Negroponte where we had mushrooms, feta cheese in the oven with peppers, vegetable pie with. Fill and a large smoked then grilled pork chop with cous cous, red wine and retsina.
It was getting late and off to bed and ready for our adventure the next day.
