Don’t know if Syros is the smallest island we’ve been on next to semi, which for sur was, but this morning we drove an entire circle round the island inn less than two hours and had to say, shit now what.
We got up late feeling the late night alcohol, and had a yummy breakfast at the hotel before leaving behind our precious parking spot and heading out ito the wilds of Syros
We basically went through every town, and saw he beaches n those towns and even stopped to use the we on one of the beaches in those towns. When that was all over we needed to head north on the sole north road and eventually came to the end of all roads.
It was approaching 12 so so headed back to town and discovered daytime parking spots in the capital are hard to find in deed. We circled the public lot before zipping back out on the main drag where I saw a tiny spot between a rock and hard place and deftly paralleled right into that sucker. I think JW blushed. We then walked over Prekas, a wonderful local store filled with jars and jars or local things that we all want to buy. We were merely browsing for later, but they assured us they would be open until 9. We got a hot top for lunch from them, so back in the car and away we flew to Kini.
Kini is the town to stay in if you are not staying in the main town. It has a huge beach, great hotels and three great restaurants, the one we went to has a cute ass name, which means 2 cicada on a tree, and they had grilled park hops with bbq sauce on their menu that I just had to try. It was delicious, in a Greece way, not a Kansas City way, and their salad was one of the freshest that JW had on this entire trip. We thanks them immensely and then went back to town for a nap.
