Day 11 - Life's a Beach

everyone slept in, and JW and I walked down to say hello to Elizabth at the front desk while waiting for our rental car.  C&H went out to the beach as we drove around the Island exploring.  There was one site that I had neglected to visit the last time we were here, an ancient site on top of a mountain in the middle of the Island.  So off went went, finding the road easily and driving to the top, where we were greated by a lovely ancient site with views for miles around.

From there we drove over to Kastro to walk around a bit before heading back to Kamares to pick up C&H for lunch.

We decided to go to Manolis, the famous restaurant in Vathy.  The food was fantastic, the poor lady of the house was waiting all the tables and it was dragging everything down.  When the food showed up, it was so good, it made up for everything.

After Vathy, JW and I dropped C&H off at Kasteli to swim, while we headed back to Kamares to hike around a bit.  We just walked down the other side of the bay near Kamares, so no big deal.

On the way back we picked up a couple beers and an interesting shop, and sat on our porch watching people walk by, boats come in, people walk by, boats go out.

Eventually it began getting late and we were worried about C&H coming back to town, then as suddenly as we thought it, a bus pulled up and off they got, and all was well again.  We waited for them to clean up before heading to Absinthe for dinner.  and I met Eric Hosmer's TWIN!

After dinner we sat at the Old Captain and had drinks before calling it a night.
