one small hiccup in the plans as the flight from Crete to Rhodes was moved back 3 hours, which gives us 3 hours more to kill on Crete, and 3 hours less to kill on Rhodes. This also means we'll be arriving in Rhodes as the sunsets and have to drive to our hotel in the evening, which is not good. So far we've pretty much avoided driving at night, as all good tourists in the country with the highest fatality rate amongst drivers should, but this is unavoidable.
The other hiccup is finding somewhere to do laundry, since we won't be in any one place that has laundry long enough to do it there. Assuming we wear the same clothes for days 1-2, 3 days in Chania, which is much too early for laundry, 2 days in Sougia, which has no laundry at all, and then a late arrival in Heraklion, with an overnight, and finally arriving in Rhodes in the PM on day 9. Assuming we taken enough clothes for a week, if we can get laundry done on day 10, then it just might work out, but I would much prefer to do it on day 8 in Heraklion. Maybe the extra 3 hours on Crete will accommodate this, at this point its hard to say. Self serve laundromats are not all over the place like they are here in the states, and most people hand wash stuff in the smaller villages. I suppose if it's a choice between the least smelly shirt for one day, that will just have to be the way to go.
