what started over a year ago with the planning is now over.  the countdown to leave never became a countdown to come home, as we enjoyed every single moment of the trip down to the taxi ride to the airport.  Greek 2k15 is in the bags folks, and now we'll see what happens with Greece 2k17.

before we left I retired my faithful Keen's that I bought before the first trip.  They have hiked all over Greece, from coast to coast on Crete, the lip of the caldera on Santorini, the magical island of Delos, the ancient sites of the Peloponnese, Delphi & Meteora on the first trip, Rhodes, Symi, Kos, Leros and most of the center of Athens on the second trip.  The poor things just gave out.
