holy shit, matt barrett.

well within an hour we a. got our laundry back (twenty eu) b. got our rental car for the nezt seven days,  et. got a parking ticket on the rental car, which the management says never happens, d. had drinks with our lovely travel advisor Uli from dolphin hellas and then met and drank with the world famous Matt Barrett of http://www.greecetravels.com, who absolutely made this trip happen.  he and his lovely wife and sister  in-law were super gracious as i went up to them and simple tried to thank him.  he invited us to their table and even introduced us to the owner of our hotel who bought our first shot of ouzo on the trip and then recommended a place to eat at and was super cool about the whole thing.  oh and also i bought sandals from the poet, a famous sandal maker whos dad made sandals for john lennon and paul mccarntney.  all in all a wonderful fucking last night in athens though we'll be back in a week after the second half of our journey begins.  again bear with our internet connection while i try to get some pictures up.
