julia vs the volcano

today we said goodbye to crete and hopped on the flying cat 4 for the 2 hour ferry trip to santorini, which was only marred by some rough seas and rain.  the typical picturesque views of santorini were marred by grey skies and a fierce wind.  our hotel was hiding from us, but eventually we found it and decided to take advantage of the cool weather and hike the 15k fira to oia trail, which does sound very far, but if you see the pictures you'll understand what a feet it is.  there Are some major elevation changes and that goes both up and down.  we took the bus back to fira waiting for our magnificant santorini sunset and then the sun went behind clouds and then it started to rain.  fuck you santorini.  seriously.  oh well.  diner at the. argos taverna, delicious, but rained on and now it like bedtime or something.  the internet here sucks probably no pictures until mykonos.  tomorrow is the akrotiri minoan site then a boat to mykonos.  yippee
